Join Team SG - our current vacancies are below!

We currently have two exciting opportunities to join our Self-Directed Learning Community team based in Bury, Greater Manchester!

About Our Learning Community:

Spectrum Gaming Learning Community (SGLC) provides a place of emotional and sensory safety for autistic young people who are struggling to reclaim their natural desire to learn in a non-judgemental, non-coercive, democratic learning space. SGLC is a completely different approach to learning based upon self-directed and democratic principles tailored to the needs of autistic young people.

All community members get to choose the activities they wish to be involved in. They choose how to spend community budgets and prioritise and plan for activities dependent upon the needs of the community.

At the SGLC we believe that adults and young people should be equal; learning from one another and having an equal voice. Adults are facilitators, not teachers. The role of the adult is to support young people to explore their interests, learn about topics they feel passionate about, and develop new skills.
